Every Third Monday
Dark Sky North Georgia
The Rabun/Habersham Chapter of Dark Sky North
Georgia, a member of the International Dark Sky Association, meets
every third Monday. The mission of the organization is to stem the
tide and reverse the effects of light pollution in North Georgia. The
light flare from municipalities and residential areas blocks our view
of the night sky, and negatively impacts numerous birds, animals, and
humans. Nature intended for all creatures to experience periods of
darkness. Meeting location and details can be obtained by phone
or email from Jim Reaves, BlackBearCreek1@aol.com, 770-861-7308.
