the Soque River - Recreation

 RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Soque River is a great place for a variety of outdoor activities.  The SRWA has tried to highlight some of the areas around the Soque River and provide a resource for ways to enjoy the river while preserving it.

Approximately 17,524 acres or 17% of the Soque River Watershed rests within the Chattahoochee National Forest, providing tremendous recreational opportunities.

Almost all of these National Forest lands are within the headwaters of the Soque Watershed. Though some of these areas are commonly known and easy to find, most are remote and challenging.
