Hunting
Wildlife habitat within the watershed is excellent.  Hunting opportunities are as varied as the range of wildlife that live within it.  Approximately 17,524 acres or 17% of the Soque River Watershed rests within the Chattahoochee National Forest, providing tremendous recreational opportunities.  Almost all of these National Forest lands are within the headwaters of the Soque Watershed. Though some of these areas are commonly known and easy to find, most are remote and challenging.

• Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest  If you can get to it, you can hunt on it.  Try these sub-basins:   Deep Creek, Headwaters, Raper Creek, Shoal Creek.  www.fs.fed.us/conf/
