Public parks offer a range of recreational activities, from playgrounds to hiking trails.  Explore and enjoy the parks within the watershed.

  • Cornelia City ParkCornelia City Park is often referred to as “Big City Park”.  With 20+ acres, it is the City of Cornelia’s largest park offering picnic areas, a playground, a swimming pool and a handicapped-accessible walking trail.  www.habershamga.com/reccityparks.cfm?from=visitors

  • Demorest Springs Park:  This historic park was developed around natural springs that surface here.  They, in turn, feed Hazel Creek, one of the Soque’s tributaries.  A picnic area and playground are available.  www.habershamga.com/reccityparks.cfm?from=visitors

  • Sam Pitts Park:  Located on the banks of the Soque River as it winds through Clarkesville, this park offers a popular walking track, picnic areas and playground.  www.habershamga.com/reccityparks.cfm?from=visitors
